Homecoming

It's been heaven in here, as it's all white and fluffy in Finland. I've been taking it reeeeal easy without paying too much attention to school work and going through my hoods with my family instead. Photos, handicrafts, fleamarket, library and local swimming hall have taken my time and I feel utterly happy with such simple life.

Presenting my favourite library in the world. I've spent countless hours here before my A-levels, on rainy summers and cold winters. I'm a library chiller from head to toe.

So how does it look outside?

the stairs are somewhere there

We had a kind of snow storm a few days ago. I had to drive to the town next to mine at night with Kaisa to visit Iiris. The weather was horrid and I was honestly scared! We did get stuck in snow twice actually..

Thanks for the dinner and familiar faces dearies.
Darmstadt and the people in Germany seem like a far far away dream.

No-one told me to say "Cheese"

Roscoe turned out to be manic enough to work through the photos in ONE NIGHT. I present to you me, myself and I. This doll needs to work on her expressions! The colours are lovely but damn I need to through myself more into it! More movement, different poses, faces and so on. What do you think?

I didn't get dreads, no need to panic. The fur-hat is just a left over from hard nights work partying.

Wish you all a supa dupa Semesterferien and a lovely Valentine's Day!

Nach Hause

hello mom's house

hello my room's window view

I'm flying home tomorrow for one month. I'm excited but also a bit confused. Swapping country like panties (okay I do change mine more often than that!) isn't ideal as I need to rip myself from this world to the next in a way: language, people, the works. We've been this through often enough right?

hello huge supermarkets

hello 1 litre yogurt cartons

hello super-sized long drinks

hello expensive alcohol
On one hand, I was just getting settled & feeling home in Darmstadt and on the other, I really need a holiday from it all to get my thoughts straight. There's just been mega much going on lately at work, Uni and private life that I don't really know what to hold on to.

grandpa I've missed you

hello shitty fashion and depressive landscape
Here's a last set of memories from my Christmas holiday, to set your moods right to face Finland and where I'm going.

hello snow storm

hello home street

hello tea partys

and scandinavian home deco

hello my favourite person

hello wacko brother

gosh he grows so fast, already with a beard

hello my love

Goodbye Germany

Hammertime

I had a somewhat spontanious photoshoot with Roscoe tonight. It was much much more fun than I'd thought! The unspoken deal is that I model for him and get all sorts of tipps and experience in photography in return. It's just really nice to have someone to share your interests & inspirations with, help to bring them into reality and brainstorm through new ideas. Our tastes may vary a bit but that's what I truelly appreciate in him. A different point of view, another kind of imagination and an artistic eye, bring new depth to your hobbies!

fur-hat from Friday night's party
So why did I think it might not be so much fun? Simply cause of my shyness I suppose. I just go all noodles in front of the camra. It intimidates me and I turn all giggly and wiggly little piggly. Hohohoho. Last time we had a photo session, it was in his home studio and I got a weeny bit claustrophobic with all those spotlights and profi gear pointed at me. Suddenly I noticed having arms and no idea what to do with them, you know! I totally suck at posing or trying to look cooler than I am ( I'm basically retarded in real life). That amount of sudden selfconciousness nearly made me pass out.

After this eye-opening experience I decided to get my shit together and face my fears! I've said okay to a few photoshoot requests lately as I love photography myself and know what a pain in the ass a bad model can be. Everything in the name of art and development! If this nose inspires you then so be it. There is so much to learn from other people and such projects are simply a blast.

Anygays I feel somehow amazingly happy and grateful to be surrounded by such talented, inspiring and lovely people. Thank you Roscoe for tonight :)
