G'day

How can I be so happy under these circumstances? ...And how could I not? Life is a bitch, because if it was a slut, then it would be easy. Pardon me my language.

After dreaming of Geometry and answering the imaginary answer sheets in my sleep, I've decided to take this morning slow. I had a royal breakfast with my roomie and his friend at 6:30 and then casually went back to bed instead of hard-core study time. Few hours of sleep, then lying in bed and listening Wilco. Daydreaming and such.
my new pretty lingerie needs an introduction

why? cos no other than my bf will see it in action. I still like to show off.

I'm so happy to go home again. And so happy about my new friends here in Darmstadt. Who guessed how much fun it would be, sitting and learning 6h at the University on a Sunday independently? Even with a mild hangover from a WG-Party I had such a blast.

I wish everybody a peachy week and happy birthday to my home-girl Tiina!

Ringing

I've been really into big rings this January, thus I thought about making a post about my Winter sale findings. I guess my mother's influence pushes through again since she has been collecting big-ass silver rings for some years already. After visiting her in Finland last Christmas, I have to say they did look good and I had to resist the urge to snatch borrow some of them.

In total, my inspiration and current passion to rings was gathered from my mom, some Swedish bloggers and Lykke Li's new video "Get Some". Oh I am just as exposed to media and mothers as any teenage girl would be. Too bad that I'm turning 21 next month. I gotta look up for another reason then.

You can imagine how lovely it was then to discover the sales in Hamburg. I Am and Six sold their last season jewelry with the earthmoving prices of 1 - 2€ per piece. I gave home to 2 necklaces, 2 bracelets and a handfull of rings. A reason why my boyfriend kindly called me a christmas tree later.
3 x ring

My favourite, of the silver rings, must be the one with the red round stone. I'm usually lousy in wearing accesories but a ring of notable size seems to make up the lack. It somehow lifts up the boring everyday combo of jeans and a cardigan.

The bracelet with the black stone is a Christmas gift from my mother and sister. A souvenir for me from Canary Islands ♥

I also fancy copper as jewelry colour but I haven't been able to combine them with my clothing that much. Shame.
What do you think? Does copper and gold match better with a tanned or dark skin? That's what I've heard before yet tried to shake off the tabu while buying there lovely little ladies here. As you most of my friends know I am close to an albino. For a tan I need products because in the sun I burn.

I'm off to try out Bollywood dancing at the gym. Lovely sunny sunday to yall.

The first album is my CD-collections jewel. 'Wounded Rhymes' sounds promising.

While waiting for a muffin buddy

Surfing in the internet I bumped into a List of the Coming Trends of 2011. Fashion is all about revival and recycling old styles but I have to say I was a bit disappointed with what they came up with this time. I mean capri pants, biker clothing and punk style? My goodness gracious how original indeed (note the irony here). Why did they even go through the trouble of mentioning stripes? Nevertheless I did make some delightful finds like clogs and jumpsuits. Both familiar from '09-'10 but it's nice to know not all my items are worn by grannies only.
What I also concider worth a try is the belt purse as seen bellow. I did that in one party and I'd gladly give it a go again. Dancing was more pleasant without an actual handbag yet I had my essentials in a safe place.
I did fancy this white maxi dress as worn by Hanneli

I already have 3 maxi dresses from last year but in 2011 they should be see-through. No wait I do have one of those? All mine are dark but seeing this photo I might concider a white or nude as well.

Another trend-to-be is tassels. First I thought this an Ok-nice-touch but Not-for-me-thingie however I might have been brainwashed by this photo bellow...

..as I noticed myself buying a similar longer tassel necklace the other week. Heehee. I can explain. Really. It costed only 1e in sales! Soooo I now own one more trendy item and don't know what to wear it with. Maybe I'll turn it into a belt?

We have arrived to the end of my hot-not-super-superficial-fashion-post. I'm off to bake muffins wishing a nice evening for all of you.
