Images

I had to Scan two of my favourite pictures to the Budapest Booklet we're making of our Exkursion. I recall being very satisfied after the trip but looking back at my pictures now, I'm even more excited about the long way I still have to go! I can't wait to get better at this!

Budapest pt. 1

Dear me, it's been ages since I left and came back. Well technically not that long but I feel like a shit ton of things have happened. I'll just start by showing some Budapest pictures. I took close to 800 pics again and shooted about 4h of video material. As it turns out, I won't have the time to edit all of that footage too much since University work doens't leave me much free hours if any.

View from our Hostel Room!

As you can already see, the city is wonderful and full of funky details for beginning Architects! I was totally overwhelmed with the old buildings, beautiful bridges and all the greenery.

Throughout the week I was walking in a dream. I just LOVE travelling and having all that time only to concentrate on the things you love (like drawing, eating, laughing, photographing, strolling through the Vintage heaven etc. etc.) instead of sitting long hours at my working desk, really felt awesome. Every day brought something new and exciting!

What kind of pictures would you like to see from Budapest? I've got it all! Any questions? I've gathered quite a list of places to visit, where to eat and where to shop during this Exkursion so I'd be more than happy to share.

Happy Valentine's

I woke up early today to the howls of my neighbours wolf and got up immediately to bake some Ginger-Lime-Muffins to my friends at the Uni. I've been strangely inspired again lately which has manifested itself in an active drawing, handicrafting & cooking phase and I even dyed the tips of my hair with cotton-candy-pink the other night. I quite like the mermaid-look so I might stick to this.

Wish you all the Sun no matter where you are today my friends :)

Touché

Drawing, tea and an audiobook of Pride & Prejudice make my day. I'm a girly girl cliché. Thank God, I hate horses at least.

Stressed is desserts spelled backwards

I've been stealing off a bit too often to my own little drawing projects in the evenings. I should really study harder and spend more hours on sketching my homework but the aquarelle set and the empty drawing block scream for me to paint something fun for a change. It's just reeeeally difficult to get excited about geometrical forms or their shadows, when you're more into living beauty. Maybe my next object will actually be a building or some architectural space instead? Not.

My roomie noted, that I might be attracted to asymmetric and anorexic things after having a look at this lady. I agree. I didn't intend her to be so skinny, I just like exaggerating bones and lines I suppose. I'm happy with my work and I could practically feel the magic coming back to me and evolving myself while sketching her!

I haven't drawn for fun in ages and thus forgotten how much I infact enjoy it, how satisfactory this activity can be and have gotten quite out of touch with my skills. Gosh how much pleasure it is, closing up in my room, putting on music and drowning myself into the details! I'm actually looking forward to those hours everyday after University.

Keep safe my friends and family in Finland! Don't get too wasted this Midsummer without me ♥

Seclusion

G'day to yalls! I'm feeling a lot better today and am at the moment enjoying myself by switching between my Uni projects, homework and procastinating in internet. Sounds lame to be stuck inside on Sunday? Not to me. I enjoy being alone in my room, listening music, drawing, painting, googling, knitting and photoshopping whenever I choose to get bored with the previous activity.

I'm now getting shortly back to sketching a lake resort and might later get back to the photos from Liz. For photoshop I'm currently learning to use Adobe Lightroom 3.6 and think I'm making quite a process there! Before the weekend I could barely use Paint to crop my pictures, not to mention adding different textures or manipulating the lighting and colour.

Write to you later maybe!
